We measure the space, check existing ductwork and venting, and confirm what electrical work the new unit will need. We're an electrical contractor too, so the wiring for the new unit is ours to handle, not a second company's.
Then you get a clear, detailed estimate before any work begins.
From there, we schedule the install, remove the old system, and set the new one with proper clearances and connections.
Before we leave, we test the full heating cycle and walk you through how to operate your new system and thermostat.

How do I know it's time to replace my furnace?
A furnace doesn't have to die outright to be done. It gets louder, heats less evenly, and costs more to run, until another repair is money spent on a system that's already on its way out. Common signs:
• It's past fifteen years old, and the house never feels quite comfortable
• The heat exchanger is cracked, which is a carbon monoxide risk
• Repairs have turned into a yearly event
• Heating bills keep rising with no change in how you use the house
• It's an older unit that short cycles, needs repeated resets, or has a burner that struggles to stay lit
If yours is newer and a single part failed, start with furnace repair instead. A sound furnace with years left in it is worth fixing.
Do I need to replace my ductwork with a new furnace?
Not always. If your existing ductwork is in good condition and properly sized for the new unit, we can typically reuse it. We'll flag it during the assessment if that's not the case.
How long does a furnace installation take?
Most residential installs are completed in a single day, though homes needing electrical upgrades or significant ductwork changes may take longer.
Will a new furnace actually lower my heating bill?

Can I switch from oil to gas when I replace my furnace?
Yes, as long as natural gas service reaches your street. We confirm that with the utility first, then price the gas furnace, the piping, and any venting changes. If the switch doesn't pay off for your house, we'll tell you, and a new oil furnace is still a good option.
What warranty comes with a new furnace?
Coverage depends on the furnace you choose. Manufacturer warranties can exclude repairs caused by improper maintenance, and some last longer if you register the furnace by the manufacturer's deadline after installation, so register it on time and plan on a yearly tune-up.
Is a new furnace safer than an old one?
Often, yes. A cracked heat exchanger on an old furnace can let combustion gases, including carbon monoxide, into the air you breathe, and CO has no color or smell. A new furnace comes with a new heat exchanger, and a properly installed sealed-combustion furnace can't back-draft flue gases into the home. Whatever furnace you have, keep CO alarms on every level and outside the bedrooms, and if one sounds, get everyone outside and call 911.
